This means that during these six hours, there will be no flight operations at the airport and this information has been announced by the airport operator today. The primary runway 09/27 and the secondary runway 14/32 will remain temporarily shut so that the monsoon contingency plan can be successfully carried out. The duration of this is 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM on May 9. Regarding this, a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) has also been issued and the airlines and stakeholders have been informed about the same.
The information has been communicated to those who need to know, just so to avoid cancellation of flights and inconvenience to all the passengers.
