Raipur: Ten Naxals were on Thursday neutralised in an encounter with District Reserve Guard (DRG) and Special Task Force (STF) in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur, SP Mohit Garg told news agency ANI. Further, 11 weapons were recovered from the terrorists’ custody.

Earlier in November last year, the Chhattisgarh Police arrested eight Naxals following an exchange of fire in Hiroli area of Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada district. “The police busted a Naxal camp and arrested the eight Naxals following an exchange of fire in Hiroli,” said Abhishek Pallav, Superintendent of Police, Dantewada. The security personnel had recovered one weapon and explosives from the site of encounter. Meanwhile, a joint operation was carried by DRG and STF in border areas of Fulbagdi, Aranpur and Gadiras police stations.
