“Modi ji says he’s fighting against corruption. But when he comes to Chhattisgarh he doesn’t tell you the CM is corrupt. Your Rs 5000 crore disappeared in chit-fund scam, 310 FIRs were registered but no action was taken because CM was involved,” he said, adding, “2nd is PDS Scam. Rs 36,000 Cr of the people of Chhattisgarh was looted. Diary mili, diary mein likha tha ‘CM Madam ko paisa diya. Dr sahab ko paisa diya.’ I ask Raman Singh ji who is this CM Madam & Dr sahab whose names were found in the diary in connection with the scam.” Also Read - Income Tax, Merger of More Banks: Here’s What to Expect From First ‘Paperless’ Budget 2021

On Friday, Rahul Gandhi had held a mega road show in Rajnandgaon, the constituency of CM Raman Singh, three days ahead of the first phase of assembly polls on November 12. Addressing a public meeting after the road show, he criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the Rafale fighter jet deal and a sudden demonetisation of a bulk of the currency in circulation in November 2016, and said he no longer talks about corruption.

“Modi earlier used to speak about corruption, but he does not do so now. The Modi government has committed scam to the tune of crores in the Rafale fighter jet deal. Modi benefited his close ones in the Rafale deal,” Gandhi alleged, adding, “If Modi can waive loans to the tune of Rs 3.50 lakh crore of industrialists then why not of farmers.”
