New Delhi: Senior Congress leader Veerappa Moily on Friday attacked Yogi Adityanath and claimed that the Uttar Pradesh chief minister is not a ascetic person and hence he cannot be called a ‘Yogi'(ascetic). “Yogi should be like a ascetic first. When he is not a ascetic person, he cannot be called a ‘Yogi’,” Moily said while speaking to reporters.
Moily’s statement comes days after UP CM had called the Congress a biggest hurdle in the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya.
“The Congress is the biggest impediment in the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya because they do not want the temple to be built. A Congress that could not belong to Lord Ram is of no use to us,” Adityanath had said while addressing a rally in Kawardha district of Chhattisgarh.
It is to be noted here that the first phase of assembly polls was held on November 12. The remaining 72 constituencies will go to polls on November 20 and counting of votes will be held on December 11.
