Sihawa: Congress’ Dr. Lakshmi Dhruw wins
Sihawa assembly constituency has been ruled over by BJP’s Shrawan Markam. He defeated Congress candidate Ambika Markam by over 7,000 votes. Sanjari Balod: Congress’ Sangeeta Sinha wins
The Sanjari Balod seat has been represented by Congress’ Bhaiyaram Sinha, who defeated BJP candidate Pritam Sahu by a margin of over 30,000 votes. For the 2018 assembly polls, the BJP fielded Pawan Sahu against Congress’ Sangeeta Sinha, and the latter won over Sahu by more than 27,488 votes. Dondi Lohara: Congress’ Anila Bhendia wins
Congress’ Anila Bhendia has been representing Dondi Lohara constituency, a seat reserved for Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates. For 2018, the Congress was again banking on Bhendia who faced a challenge from BJP’s Lal Mahendra Singh Tekam, but defeated him by over 33,103 votes.
Gunderdehi: Congress’ Kunwer Singh Nishad wins
In Gunderdehi, Rajendra Kumar Rai of Congress defeated BJP candidate Virendra Kumar Sahu by over 21,000 votes in the 2013 Assembly polls. This time, the saffron party fielded Deepak Sahu to take on Congress’ Kunwar Singh Nishad. However, the latter registered a win by over 39,000 votes.
Bhanupratappur: Congress’ Manoj Singh Mandavi wins
Reserved for Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates, the Bhanupratappur constituency was held by Manoj Singh Mandavi of Congress. He defeated BJP’s Satish Latiya by a margin of around 15,000 votes earlier. This time, the saffron party was banking on Devlal Dugga to take on Mandavi. However, Congress won again by the margin of 26,693 votes.
Kanker: Congress’ Shishupal Sohri wins
The Kanker seat was held by Congress’ Shanler Dhruwa, who beat Sanjay Kodopi of the BJP by over 4,500 votes in the 2013 Assembly polls. For 2018, the BJP fielded Hira Markam against Congress’ Shishupal Shori. However, Congress won over BJP by 19,804 votes.
Keshkal: Congress’ Sant Ram Netam wins
In Keshkal, Congress’ Sant Ram Netam defeated BJP’s Sevakram Netam in the 2013 Assembly elections by a margin of 8,600 votes. The contesting candidate for the 2018 elections from BJP was Harishankar Netam, from Congress was Santram Netam and from BSP was Jugal Kishore Bodh. Congress won over BJP by 16,972 votes.
