The inspirational story of Dr. Kalam’s childhood to growing up to become India’s most popular President is known to one and all. He was born as Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam 15 October, 1931 to a Tamil Muslim family in Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu. One of the rarest pictures from his early days shows his family consisting of his father Jainulabudeen, his mother Ashiamma, with his brother and sister.
