New Delhi, April 23: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju had a narrow escape today when the helicopter in which he was flying from Arunachal Pradesh had to force land in Tawang due to bad weather. At least 17 people were killed when a massive landslide triggered by incessant rains hit a labour camp in Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh yesterday.

Rijiju, who is an MP from the area, had visited the landslide affected areas and met families of the victims before returning to Guwahati en route Delhi.
