New Delhi: While everyone is yet to sink in the news of Bollywood actor Tanushree Dutta alleging sexual harassment at the hands of fellow veteran actor Nana Patekar, another gross turpitude of a comedian and YouTuber named Utsav Chakraborty has come to light. What started with Chakraborty calling out the disgraceful behaviour of the employees of a renowned gutka company on an Australian luxe cruise, it slowly went on to reveal the sick side of this comedian who himself indulged in such kind of acts.

Chakraborty has been accused of allegedly sending sexually explicit messages to young girls over the social media. A twitter user @AGirlOfHerWords called out on Chakraborty after reading the tweet which the comedian had shared on his Twitter handle.

The Twitter user got talking about the worst-kept secret in the Indian comedy circuit – the sexual abuse faced by women at the hands of the male comics. She condemned Chakraborty’s sexual misconduct with women, especially minor girls and even accused him of asking minors to send ‘nudes’. Check the above tweets.

This is the tweet which started it all and since then it has only encouraged women to come up with their share of trauma. Just like a can of worms, stories of sexual misconduct by the comedian surfaced as women started sharing their #MeToo stories. And the messages haven’t stopped since. People have been calling Chakraborty names and he has been at the receiving end ever since. Check these tweets.

Another glaring revelation that surfaced was that instances like these were quite common and sexual predators like Chakraborty were lurking out everywhere seeking a chance to prey upon innocent women. A Twitter user named @FuschiaScribe spoke of how a friend of hers knew about another such incident feminist director Aditya Kripalani. Kriplani is the same who rose to prominence after his movie Tikli And Laxmi Bomb was screened. She went on to write how two other women have also spoken n in detail about abuse by Soumik Sen, writer of another film on women empowerment ‘Gulaab Gang’.
