Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Congress has stated firmly that efforts will be on to detect fake voters in the state. The announcement comes in the wake of the Supreme Court’s dismissal of a petition filed by Congress leaders, on Friday, in this regard. State Congress spokesperson JP Dhanopia who objected before the Election Commission of India (ECI) in this regard reportedly said, “We will continue to work on voters’ lists to find out fake voters, as the BJP will rely on them to manipulate the state assembly elections.” Also Read - MPBSE 12th Supplementary Result 2020 Declared at, Here's How to Check

As per the assessment conducted by the Congress party members, at least 56 lakh fake voters were spotted in the state, said JP Dhanopia. The issue was reiterated before the ECI who then claimed that 24 lakh voters were removed from the voters’ lists. However, when the voters’ list was subjected to revision, a further addition of lakhs of voters was detected, added Dhanopia. As per the Election Commission (ECI) schedule, Madhya Pradesh is scheduled to hold polling on November 28 and the counting will begin on December 11.
