New Delhi: The Congress has claimed that the party has Brahmin Samaj DNA. Addressing an event in Haryana’s Kurukshetra on Monday, party media-in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala played the caste card and reportedly said, “One of my colleagues asked why a Brahmin conference is being held using Rahul Gandhi’s photo and under the Congress party flag and the Tricolour? I said that I will respond to this from this platform one day. Indian National Congress is that party, my friends, in whose blood there is Brahmin Samaj’s DNA.” Also Read - J&K: BJP Leader Out on Morning Walk Shot at by Unidentified Militants in Budgam; Third Attack in a Week
He even spoke about Rahul Gandhi undertaking the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra and compared the Congress President with God and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders with demons. Attacking the saffron party for demanding an explanation from Rahul for his trip to Kailash Mansarovar and referring to the mythological texts, he said that the fight between Gods and demons has been happening since time immemorial. “Even today, Shiv-bhakt, your son, Congress chief and our leader Rahul Gandhi is on his way to Bhole Shankar’s Yatra to Kailash Mansarovar. And who’s trying to foil his trip? Leaders of the BJP,” he was quoted as saying in a report. Also Read - Coronavirus in Himachal Pradesh: 2 Top BJP Leaders, Including ex-CM Dhumal, in Home Quarantine

“Mr. Rahul has an obsession for China. Why is it that Mr. Gandhi always wants to get a Chinese perspective on everything but he does not want to have an Indian perspective? I would like to ask the Congress party, which politicians will Rahul Gandhi meet in China?” Patra further said.
Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday shared his ‘beautiful journey’ to Kailash Mansarovar and tweeted, “A man goes to Kailash when it calls him. I am so happy to have this opportunity and to be able to share what I see on this beautiful journey with all of you.”
Adding further, he posted, “The waters of lake Mansarovar are so gentle, tranquil and calm. They give everything and lose nothing. Anyone can drink from them. There is no hatred here. This is why we worship these waters in India.”
