The encounter took place in Indrapur village which comes under the jurisdiction of Bachhraon police station. Constable Harsh Chaudhary, 26, died of bullet injuries after a gunfight with the criminal, identified as Shiv Avtar. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced ex-gratia of Rs 40 lakh to the wife and Rs 10 lakh for the parents of the deceased constable. Also, a government job has been promised to one of his family members.
