On Monday, the government confirmed two cases of Coronavirus, one each from New Delhi and Telangana. Both the patients were said to be stable. They are being closely monitored, the Union Health Ministry had said on Monday. The person from Delhi had travelled to Italy, it said, adding he is being diagnosed at RML hospital. The other person with the coronavirus infection has a travel history to Dubai, the ministry had added.
Meanwhile, the death toll due to the novel coronavirus outbreak in China has risen to 2,943, authorities said on Tuesday, while the number of confirmed cases has reached 80,151.
Chinese health authorities reported 125 new confirmed cases of novel coronavirus infection and 31 deaths on the Chinese mainland, Xinhua reported.
