Hyderabad: In another case of negligence being reported from Telangana amid Coronavirus outbreak, TRS MLA Koneru Konappa was issued a notice by the District Collector of Asifabad for not abiding by the home quarantine norms after his visit to the United States. According to a report by news channel NDTV, the MLA indulged in host of activities during his quarantine period including travelling on a train, attending a social function and a political meeting. The NDTV report also stated that the ruling party MLA– following his return from the states– also signed a declaration form mentioning that he and his wife will isolate themselves at home. As per the report, the MLA is know to have travelled in the Telangana Express from Secunderabad to the town of Kaghaznagar. Prior to this, a grand wedding took place on Thursday in Warangal town of Telangana. Over 1,000 guests had attended the event, a report by the news channel said. The wedding took place seven days after the groom returned from France. He was supposed to be in be in the quarantine during that period, the report added. After the incident came to light, the groom was sent back to quarantine. Further, a reception which was scheduled for yesterday was also called off.
Meanwhile, India has reported a total of 258 cases of Coronavirus infection so far.
