New Delhi: As the coronavirus cases in the state are on the rise, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella’s wife Anupama Venugopal Nadella on Tuesday donated Rs 2 crore to Telangana government to help the poor with supply of essential commodities during the coronavirus lockdown in the state. In another development, the Telangana government employees and teachers have also donated a day’s basic salary amounting to Rs 48 crore to Chief Minister Welfare Fund. Moreover, actor Nithiin has also donated Rs 10 lakh to Chief Minister’s Welfare Fund for the purpose.
The development comes after three fresh COVID-19 cases were reported in Telangana on Tuesday, taking the total number of people detected for the coronavirus in the state to 36.
As per updates, the three fresh cases are a 49-year-old man with travel history to London, a 39-year-old woman who returned from Germany and a 61-year-old woman who travelled to Saudi Arabia.
The state government updated that the condition of all the three patients was stable in designated hospitals.
In the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, the state government of Telangana has already announced a lockdown till March 31.
