Bhopal, June 1: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Shahdol, Dalpat Singh Paraste died on Wednesday due to brain haemorrhage. The 66-year-old politician was the most prominent tribal face of the party in Madhya Pradesh. Elected to the Lok Sabha 5-times, Paraste earned a reputation in national politics. Paraste’s condition worsened on Friday, when he was rushed to KIMS hospital in Shahdol after the MP was struck by brain hemorrhage. As his condition deteriorated, doctors in Shahdol urged his family members to shift him to Gurgaon’s speciality hospital. He was flown to Gurgaon by an air ambulance on Saturday. After 5 days of rigorous treatment, the doctors could not save his life.  

Pareste would be brought back to Shahdol tomorrow, where his family members, associates and party leaders pay would pay him tribute. His last rites would be performed in his native village by Madhya Pradesh government with with utmost respect.
