Many women in the country are going to beauty parlours which is not a good sign.
The fatwa was issued after a man from Saharanpur asked the Daul Iftaa about the Islamic laws of eyebrow trimming and hair-cutting from Daul Iftaa. “Would the Islamic law allow my wife to go for eyebrow plucking and hair-cutting?” asked the man to the Islamic University.
In response to his query, Darul-Uloom Deoband issued a fatwa against such acts saying they are against Islamic laws, adding, “If a woman is involved in such acts then she is violating the laws of Islam.”
As per Darul Iftaa, there are ten such acts that are banned for Muslim women. “Muslim women should never go for a haircut as it adds to the beauty of a woman,” said Sadiq Qasmi, head of Darul Iftaa. He also said that the Muslim women should stay away from beauty parlours and makeup because these things attract other men.
