In Davanagere North Vidhan Sabha seat SA Ravindranath of BJP and SS Mallikarjun of Indian National Congress were the main contenders for Karnataka Elections 2018. In 2013 the seat was won by Congress’ SS Mallikarjuna. He had defeated BJP’s SA Ravindranath. In Davanagere South Congress, BJP, AAP and some independent candidates were for 2018 Karnataka Elections. In Mayakonda Vidhan Sabha seat there was a tough fight between the Congress, BJP and some independent candidates. Congress’s K.Shivamurthy had defeated KJP’s N.Linganna in 2013. In Channagiri BJP, INC, JD(S) , JD(u) and some independent candidates were in fray. K Madalu Virupakshappa (BJP), Vadnal Rajanna (INC), D Ramesha (JDS), Mahima J Patel (JD(U)) had contested among some independent candidates.
