David Headley was asked to recruit Indian armymen to spy for ISI

Terrorist David Headley on Tuesday gave yet more shocking details to the Mumbai court about his relation with Hafiz Saeed and Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi.

Mumbai, Feb 9: Terrorist David Headley on Tuesday gave yet more shocking details to the Mumbai court about his relation with Hafiz Saeed and Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi. Headley said that he was asked to recruit Indian armymen to spy ISI (Pakistan’s Intelligence agency). After Headley confirmed about Pakistan’s role in the 26/11 Mumbai attacks on Mumbai and gave more vital details, his deposition began again on Tuesday at 7 AM through a video conferencing from an undisclosed location in the United States.

He also said that he was advised Hafiz Saeed and Lakhvi to legally challenge United States ban on Lashkar. Headley on Monday also told the court that there were two attempts on Mumbai prior to the 26/11 attack. The first attempt was made on September 2008 which failed as their boat hit rocks in the ocean. While their arms and explosives were lost, people on board were saved. The second attempt was made immediately in the the next month. Headley also said that the same ten people who struck Mumbai on November 26 had come twice earlier, but failed.

Senior lawyer Mahesh Jethmalani said that Headley also revealed that he followed advice of Jamaat-ud-Dawah (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed. Headley also said that he had a fake Indian passport and visited Mumbai seven times with it. He even visited Delhi in March 2009 with the fake passport after the attack. He also admitted that changed his named from Dawood Gilani to David Coleman Headley  for acquiring the passport. He also said that he was a true follower of the Let.
