Mumbai, March 25: Pakistani-American terrorist David Headley told a Mumbai court that he was trying to organise a  fund raising programme for Shiv Sena in the United States of America. He also admitted that he was intending to invite Shiv Sena Chief Bal Thackeray to the US without any plans to attack him there. Rajaram Rege who was a member of the Shiv Sainiks had helped Headley with their programme. However, Headley never met or spoke to Bala Saheb about it. Earlier during his cross-examination, David Headley told a court here that LeT wanted to eliminate Bal Thackeray but the person who was assigned the job was arrested. He also approved of his role in 26/11 Mumbai attacks. Headley refused to disclose the location of his jail after being asked by  Defence lawyer Abdul Wahab Khan. On being asked he said, “I cannot disclose location of my jail where I’m lodged in. Court reprimanded Defence lawyer Abdul Wahab Khan for asking questions to Headley without knowing the jail manual of the US and took record that “Defence lawyer is crossing his limits in cross examination and trying to direct the court what court should do”. David Headley also said that he is not living a luxurious life in the prison in the US.
