The day will be marked as a special one to all the girl child being born on Sunday as the social welfare department will give gifts to the baby girls born in government hospitals. Special arrangements have been made in all the government hospitals for the same. All the girl child born on October 11, 2015 in government hospitals will be gifted a woollen quilt-cum-hood, woollen socks, a woollen cap to keep the infant warm. Necessary arrangements have been made in all government hospitals as the women and child development ministry officers have already contacted the government hospitals. The welfare officers will hand over the gifts to the babies on behalf of Delhi government. To mark the International Day of the Girl Child, women will also be given the opportunity for free bus rides on October 11, 2015. How are you celebrating the  International Day of the Girl Child.
