New Delhi: Trouble seems to be mounting for the Aam Aadmi Party as another trusted aide of Arvind Kejriwal – Ashish Khetan – hinted at parting ways with the party on Wednesday, saying that he is “not involved in active politics”. However, he is yet to officially confirm the news of him quitting AAP.

In a couple of tweets this morning, Khetan said that he is “completely focused” on his legal practices, adding that “rest is all exploration”.

“I am completely focussed on my legal practice and not involved in active politics at the moment. Rest is all extrapolation,” tweeted Khetan.

“I had resigned from DDC in April, to join the legal profession. That is all. Not interested in rumours,” he added.

According to reports, Khetan had resigned from AAP along with Ashutosh on August 15. The latter had parted ways from the party citing “very very personal reasons”.

“Every journey has an end. My association with AAP which was beautiful/revolutionary has also an end. I have resigned from the PARTY/requested PAC to accept the same. It is purely from a very very personal reason. Thanks to party/all of them who supported me throughout. Thanks,” Ashutosh had tweeted.

However, Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal had refused to accept Ashutosh’s resignation.

Ashish Khetan, an investigative journalist, had joined AAP in 2014. He had contested the general election from the New Delhi constituency but lost to BJP’s Meenakshi Lekhi.
