Dehra: Like in most of the other constituencies in the state of Himachal Pradesh, it is a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) versus Indian National Congress (INC) contest in Dehra assembly constituency. However, it is a BJP bastion as party’s Ravinder Singh had won the election in 2012 by a massive margin. The Congress party was in the third position, while an independent candidate was the runner up. The Bharatiya Janata Party had pinned its hopes on Ravinder Singh again. Singh had got over 24,000 votes last elections and the runner up, an independent, had got only 10000 votes. Congress party’s M Ram had got only 4310 votes. This time the Congress party has changed its candidate as Viplov Thakur will contest the election. Here is the list of candidates. (CLICK FOR DEHRA RESULTS)
