New Delhi, Apr 4: Delhi Police on Tuesday arrested a 19-year-old man allegedly for beating his live-in partner to death at her rented flat in Netaji Subhash Place. The accused, identified as Imran, was arrested after two days of the incident while he was trying to flee the capital city. Police said that the incident took place on Saturday when the two were alone at the victim’s flat. The two often had arguments over the victim’s alleged affair to one of the friends of the accused. The victim’s sister and one of the accused’s friends also lived with the two. The two were away when the incident happened. The two had met at a party. Soon after, Imran started living with the girl. Since the two had common friends, Imran often suspected his girlfriend having an affair with one of his friends. Imran sent the other two occupants of the flat outside and decided to kill the woman. Imran first tried to strangle her but fearing that it could alert the neighbours, Imran decided to beat her to death and then fled the scene.
