New Delhi, April 14: As the protest outraged in the country over the Kathua and Unnao Rape and murder cases, yet another incident of rape of a 19-year-old girl has been reported. According to the news agency ANI, the incident happened in the National capital’s Sultanpur area. The girl has allegedly accused a boy of holding her captive in a room on March 30. After bearing the torture for days, the girl managed to escape and reached her house on April 9. On being contacted, Sultanpuri’s SHO Anil Kumar told India.com that no such complaint has been filed. “No such complaint regarding the matter has been registered in the station. If anyone will file a complaint on the incident, we will take action and go for investigation. But as of now, we did not receive anything on this matter from anyone,” he said.
The incident has come to the light at a time when there has been an uproar over the gangrape of an 8-year-old minor girl in Jammu’s Kathua. The girl was abducted, held captive in a temple owned by the prime accused Sanjhi Ram, gang-raped for days and then murdered. The ‘horrific’ incident of child jolted the country leading to massive protests.
