New Delhi: At least 27 trains are reported to be running late to/from the national capital due to dense fog that has engulfed the city. Further, several flights are on hold at the Indira Gandhi International Airport runway, although, no cancellation or diversion has been reported so far.

Notably, Delhiites woke up to a foggy morning with residents complaining of low visibility.

Further, the air quality continued to remain in the ‘poor’ category. According to the Air Quality Index (AQI) data, major pollutants PM 2.5 at 206 and PM 10 at 216, both in ‘Poor’ category were reported in Delhi’s Lodhi Road area.

Given the bad weather and ‘poor’ AQI, residents are advised to stop outdoor activity at early morning and after sunset times and avoid prolonged or heavy exertion. If asthmatic, one should keep the medicine handy. Others are recommended to go for a short walk instead of jog and take more breaks.

Earlier on Saturday, the overall AQI)of Delhi was recorded at 322 (very poor). On Sunday, Delhiites woke up to a foggy morning with overcast skies, as the minimum temperature settled at 9.4 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season’s average.
