New Delhi: Validating the exit polls that predicted a sweep of the Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi Assembly Election 2020, the early trends kept AAP much ahead of the BJP. However, the BJP too managed to make inroads in AAP turf as BJP candidates are ahead in at least 11 seats. In 2015, BJP won three seats while the AAP won 67 seats. No exit poll has given more than 30 seats to the BJP. But early trends don’t indicate that BJP will be able to breach 20-mark.
But BJP leaders have always sounded confident of the party’s win in New Delhi. As soon as exit poll results were out, Manoj Tiwari said that all these predictions would fail on February 11. BJP leader Meenakshi Lekhi said exit polls are not exact polls.
