The constituency wise election Delhi Assembly results 2015 are out and Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party created history by winning 67 seats in the Delhi Assembly Elections 2015. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) left no stone unturned to get throne at national capital after a gap of 16 years. But BJP’s dream remained a dream and the saffron party could win just three seats out of total 70 seats. BJP made a gamble bringing former IPS officer Kiran Bedi in the electoral battle of Delhi but it did not benefit the party. BJP candidates Jagdish Pradhan, Om Prakash Sharma and Vinjender Kumar could succeed in winning their seats. Congress had fielded candidates on all 70 seats in Delhi but not a single candidate could win. It is the first time that Delhi has got a mandate of this nature and it shows people really wanted to give Arvind Kejriwal another chance. Arvind Kejriwal was elected leader of the AAP legislature group leader in a meeting of the AAP MLAs at the constitutional club. Later Kejriwal drove to LG Najeeb Jung’s house to stake claim to form the next government. The AAP leader is also scheduled to meet the President Pranab Mukherjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh. Kejriwal is likely to raise the demand for complete statehood for Delhi. After people’s mandate in Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal is likely to take oath as Chief Minister of Delhi on February 14.
