The Jammu and Kashmir Police have launched a major crackdown across the Kashmir Valley after the recent terror blast in Delhi. More than three dozen people have been detained for questioning as part of the investigation. According to officials, some of those taken into custody are government employees. The detentions were made in several districts, including Srinagar, Sopore, Baramulla, Anantnag, Kulgam, and Shopian.
Security checks and surveillance have been tightened across the region, with new checkpoints set up in different areas to monitor movement. Earlier in the day, the Counter-Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) unit conducted raids at 13 locations linked to the blast case.
Investigators said the discovery of a "white-collar" terror network involving local doctors has complicated the probe. They added that without solid intelligence, it is difficult for security forces to act against individuals who appear to lead normal, professional lives.
