New Delhi, Feb 23: As Delhi Police on Friday conducted raids at Arvind Kejriwal’s residence, rebel Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Kapil Mishra claimed that Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash was assaulted inside Chief Minister’s ‘secret room’, which doesn’t have CCTV and is being used for finalising ‘secret deals’.

“Sources – The room in which chief secretary was assaulted, it can be called “Kejriwal’s cave”. There is no camera, CCTV. Kejriwal conducts most of his “secret deals” in this room. A very few people are allowed to enter this room,” Kapil Mishra tweeted.

Earlier today, the Delhi Police visited Arvind Kejriwal’s residence to look for evidence in connection with an alleged assault on Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash there by two AAP legislators. Additional DCP, North Delhi, Harinder Singh reportedly confirmed that no CCTVs were installed where the alleged assault took place.

Earlier this week the Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash had alleged that he was beaten up by Amanatullah Khan and Prakash Jarwal — AAP MLAs — in the presence of Kejriwal at the latter’s residence on Monday night, where he was called for a meeting.

On Thursday, the Chief Minister’s adviser V.K. Jain told police that he saw Khan and Jarwal “physically assault” the Chief Secretary, according to Jain’s statement recorded by the Delhi Police. Later in the day, Khan and Jarwal were sent to judicial custody for 14 days by a Delhi court.

The medical report of Anshu Prakash also confirmed that he was indeed assaulted. According to the medical report issued by the Aruna Asaf Ali Government Hospital, Anshu Prakash has cut marks and swelling on and near his face. There are ‘tenderness and mild swelling behind both ears’, said the medical report.
