Lakhani had a workshop in her house for cutting and tailoring. Accused Rahul Anwar worked there as a tailor master. Along with his aides Rahmat and Wasim, he planned Lakhani’s murder. They stole valuables from the house and left the spot in the car of the owner. “Rahul committed the crime with two of his relatives in an attempt to loot,” said Joint CP Ajay Chaudhary.
Rahul confessed to having gone to Lakhani’s house between 10 PM and midnight on Wednesday, ostensibly to show her some garments but stabbed her with the help of his accomplices. He used a knife he had bought recently, police was quoted as saying by a leading portal.
On hearing Lakhan’s cries, Bahadur came out to help but he too was stabbed to death. Lakhani’s car has also been confiscated from Rahul, said report.
A couple of days ago, a three-year-old was raped and tortured before being brutally murdered in Haryana’s Gurugram. Her mutilated and naked body with head crushed was found lying in a pool of blood in a room in Sector 66 – just 300 metres from her house.
Reports suggest that the minor was lured from outside her house by a 20-year-old construction labourer who promised to buy her a chocolate. A wooden stick was found inserted in her private parts during the post-mortem. Not only her head was smashed with a stone, but several injury marks were also found on her body.
The child’s parents hail from Bengal who came to Gurugram to earn a living. They live in a slum in Sector 66 that is inhabited by many labourers. The girl’s body was found in a nearby cowshed.
