New Delhi, Aug 13: A fire broke out at Ashoka Hotel in Chanakyapuri area in the national capital on Monday afternoon. Seven fire tenders are present at the spot. The cause of fire has not been ascertained as of now.

The fire erupted in the basement of Ashoka Hotel. There are no reports of any injury or casualty.

In a similar incident in May, a major fire broke out at the lawns of a five-star hotel in Vasant Kunj. The incident happened ahead of a wedding function. No one was injured in the incident however, the tents set up for the function were gutted. Three fire tenders were pressed into service.
