New Delhi, March 17: Sleeping on the floor, the students of GB Pant Engineering College in Delhi have been on dharna for the past 11 days. The students have been demanding better facilities and amenities in the college campus. The students say that while the Delhi government is going on increasing the number of seats, there are no proper hostel facilities, or even a proper campus. According to a Time of India report, the students have made a graffiti on the outer walls of the GB Pant Engineering College saying, “All we need is a campus.” According to the report, students say that the classrooms have been in a terrible condition with the paint coming off. TOI quotes a 20-year-old first year mechanical engineering student from Kota, Pradeep Kumar, as saying, “I pay an annual rent of around Rs 70,000. Add to this the college fee of Rs 35,000. This is hard on my farmer father. Kumar lives as a paying guest, 6km from the college in the Okhla area of Delhi. More students have similar tales to tell.
