New Delhi, Jan 1: If you are in Delhi and planning a New Year outing at India Gate in the evening, avoid. Delhi’s favourite picnic spot – India Gate – witnessed a tsunami of people on Monday evening. According to Delhi Traffic Police over a lakh people gathered at the site leading to massive traffic jam in the area.
The Delhi Traffic Police alerted people on Twitter to avoid the area and take alternate routes owing to the bumper-to-bumper traffic. Roads leading to India Gate were chocked due to unexpected traffic. Areas like Tilak Marg, Mandi House were the worst affected. Traffic on roads leading to Chattarpur Mandir, Gurudwara Bangla Sahib also remained slow through out day today.
