New Delhi, July 16: A 14-year-old girl who had gone missing on July 11 was rescued by the Delhi police in Loni, Ghaziabad. The human trafficking ring, which had been active in the trans-Yamuna area, was busted with the arrest of a woman pimp and three men. The girl was allegedly raped by three men before being sold to the woman in Ghaziabad.

The teenager who had gone missing from Nand Nagri area in Northeast Delhi was found captive in a house in Loni by the Delhi cops. The girl had boarded an autorickshaw to attend her tuition classes and was kidnapped by the driver Ajay. She was then held captive for three days in a house. The minor was allegedly raped by the auto driver before she was sold to a woman.

Meanwhile, the girl’s worried parents filed a case and upon investigation, found that she did not attend the tuition classes. Immediately the girl’s parents approached the police and registered a case.

Deputy commissioner of police (northeast) Atul Kumar Thakur confirmed the accused to be Ajay(19), Meenu alias Monika (23), her husband Mohit (25) and Himanshu. The accused are charged under IPC sections rape (376), buying or selling a person as slave (370), selling minor for prostitution (372), buying a minor for prostitution (372) and the POCSO Act.

Police nabbed Ajay with the help of information gathered from local people and by scanning the CCTV footage of the last three days in the area. Another team of police raided the house in Loni and arrested the men and a woman who runs the prostitution racket with her husband.
