New Delhi, Jul 5: Delhi Metro rail service was disrupted on Violet Line on Thursday evening as the national capital witnessed a sudden change in the weather. Violet Line service was halted after a portion of a railing wall fell on a train. The incident took place between Lajpat Nagar and Jangpura metro station.
Delay in the service led to the build-up of a heavy rush and long queues at the metro station. Commuters, especially those going back to home after office, faced hardship in reaching their destination.
