A 21-year-old motorcyclist died in Delhi after his neck got stuck in a wire tied between two barricades.

Delhi: Motorcyclist Dies After His Neck Gets Stuck in Wire Tied Between Police Barricades

New Delhi, Feb 8: A 21-year-old motorcyclist died in Delhi after his neck got stuck in a wire tied between two barricades. Reports say the were placed on the road by police near Netaji Subhash Place where the terrible incident happened.

A case was registered after the incident. Four beat constables and division officers have been suspended. The SHO of Netaji Subhash Place was sent to the district line following the incident.

The victim has been identified as Abhishek. Reports say he used to drive for Ola Cabs and was also a Disc Jockey. Reports say the police had placed four barricades, two of which were tied together with a wire. The grieving mother of the victim has asked for a probe into the case and strict punishment for those responsible.

Sunil, a relative of the victim, said that the barricades were tied with a wire which was not visible at night. “The was no policeman at the spot when the accident happened. The locals came to help him but he couldn’t be saved,” Sunil said.
