In a much-needed respite to Delhiites from the rising temperature and humidity, moderate rains lashed the Delhi NCR region on Thursday morning.
The meteorological department has predicted rains and thunderstorm in Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad throughout the day which will lead to a decline in maximum temperature.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be 34 and 27 degree Celsius on Thursday.
Rains have caused waterlogging and traffic jams in different parts of the national capital.
Delhi Traffic Police, in a series of tweets, informed about traffic congestion and waterlogging at Bhajanpura, Pusta Road, NH-24, Mjundka metro station, Gazipur’s Murga Mandi, Sadar Bazar, Qutub Chowk and several other areas.
