New Delhi: In the latest development to the Gargi College molestation case, Delhi Police on Thursday arrested two more persons. The development comes after the Delhi Police on Wednesday arrested 10 people in connection with the case. “10 people have been arrested in connection with the case registered in PS Hauz Khas. Over 11 teams are working on the case and are looking at technical details available and visiting various sites in Delhi-NCR for identification of suspects,” DCP South Delhi Atul Thakur had said on Wednesday.
Earlier in the day, a Delhi Court sent all accused arrested, in connection with the alleged molestation of students during a cultural festival at the all-women Gargi College in Delhi, to judicial custody for 14 days.
All the arrested accused were earlier in the day produced at Saket district court where the concerned magistrate decided to send all the accused to Tihar Jail under judicial custody for 14 days period.
The arrests were made after the college authorities registered a case at Hauz Khas Police Station and several teams were constituted by the police to investigate the matter.
Probing the case, Delhi Police said that as many as 23 CCTV footages have been examined and three of these were focused on the ground where the festival was on.
