New Delhi: The Delhi Police on Saturday cancelled permission for Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal‘s jansabha in Shakur Basti. According to ANI, Delhi Police say, “The permission not granted as the space is very congested. The concerned ACP rejected the proposal on these grounds.”

Meanwhile, the CM has blamed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the development.  “The BJP gets my public rally cancelled today through police. Police denies permission. How many BJP rallies were denied permission by police in Delhi in last 5 years?” he said in a tweet.

The Aam Aadmi Party chief also said that the BJP should accept that it will lose all the seven seats in Delhi because “Modiji forgot his promise of full statehood. Now the people will tell him.”

According to AAP, Kejriwal was scheduled to address a rally in Shakurbasti on Saturday, for which the police did not give permission. However, he will address a rally in Timarpur, also scheduled for Saturday.

Yet earlier, in another tweet, Kejriwal had likened the Modi-led Centre with Nazi dictator Hitler and said, “Hitler bhi satta ke liye yahi karta tha. Hitler ke gunde logo ko pitte the, unka khoon karte the aur police jinhe mara, unhi ke khilaaf case karti thi (Hitler also used to do this for power. Hitler’s goons used to beat up people, and police would registered cases against those who were assaulted).”

He added, “Modiji bhi satta ke liye yahi karwa rahein hai, Hitler ke raaste chal rahe hai. Par Modi samrthako ko dikhai nahi deta hai ki hamara bharat kidhar ja raha hai. (Modiji is also doing the same for power; he is walking in Hitler’s footsteps. But Modi supporters are not able to see where our country is going).”
