New Delhi:  With the announcement of 21-day nationwide lockdown, delivery partners who deal in essential services reported incidents, where they have been harassed or beaten by officials. To ease the mobility in emergency situations, Delhi Police has introduced movement passes online. “Everyone who deals in essential commodities and does not have a pass yet can now apply online through the Delhi Police website. However, those with valid documents which prove that they are a part of the essential services do not need the passes.

How will you get the pass?

Submit your photograph, valid ID and a recommendation letter from the organisation. You can either download the pass online or collect it from district’s DCP office.

Who can get the pass?

Food and medicine delivery staff, healthcare staff, print and electronic media, police staff, electricity distribution staff, people associated with water department and others.
