New Delhi, Jun 1: A 22-year-old rape accused, along with his two friends, was arrested by Delhi Police in connection with a revenge killing. The accused abducted a tyre showroom owner and shot him dead before dumping his body near Aligarh. The police said he is facing rape charges levelled by the victim’s niece and was out on bail.
On May 29, police received a call from a man on Jaitpur Road about the abduction of his brother. During the investigation, cops came to know that the abducted man’s 17-year-old relative had filed a case of rape, poisoning and abduction against a man named Parvinder, reported a leading newspaper.
The police detained Parvinder for questioning and found discrepancies in the details he gave them about his location when the abduction took place. When confronted, Parvinder confessed not only to the man’s abduction, but also his killing. He revealed that the man was monitoring legal developments on behalf of the rape victim.
To teach a lesson to the family, Parvinder and two of his friends abducted the man at gunpoint. They shot him dead near Palwal in Haryana. The police also recovered the guns used in the murder from the Agra Canal near Kithwari village in Palwal.
