The inclusion of Delhi schools in the itinerary adds an interesting turn as Delhi schools became a bone of contention between AAP and the BJP in the Delhi Assembly Elections 2020. While education reforms were one of the major achievements of the AAP government, just ahead of the election, the BJP posted ‘fake’ videos showing the reality doesn’t match with the claims. AAP claimed that those videos are of old buildings as the school has been shifted to somewhere else. That after all this, Delhi government schools would be chosen strikes as surprising as the central government is only opting for ‘excellence’ to be showcased in front of the US delegation.
