Police said the woman told them that the four men took her to the washroom during the party and gang-raped her. “She said they also beat her and recorded the assault on video,” an officer said. The men then allegedly threatened to post the video online if she went to the police.
According to police, the men later dropped her outside her home and left. She immediately called the police to report the incident. A woman police officer responded, took her for a medical examination, informed her parents, and arranged counselling.
Based on her statement, a case of rape was filed. Police visited the house in Civil Lines, but the accused were not there. Search teams are now trying to find them.
In a separate case, a 32-year-old woman in Delhi’s Mundka area was allegedly raped by a man who had promised to help her find a job. The case was reported on Monday.
