New Delhi, July 25: Three sisters, all minor, were found dead under mysterious circumstances in east Delhi’s Mandawali area. Reports suggest their father left the house for work on Monday morning but never came back. Later, the girls were found unconscious in the afternoon. The case follows the death of 11 members of a family in Burari. The 11 members of the family included seven women. While 10 of the bodies were found hanging, blindfolded and gagged, that of a 75-year-old woman’s was found lying on the floor. “Bodies of seven women and four men, including three teenagers have been found. We are investigating from all possible angles, we are not ruling out anything,” said Rajesh Khurana, Joint CP Central Range, Delhi Police. The post-mortem report of 75-year-old Narayan Devi said she died due to hanging like the other 10 members of the Chundawat family. Meanwhile, the relatives of the family sent a written appeal to the police seeking a fresh probe into the Burari case. They believe that the incident which was being termed as a mass suicide or “ritual hanging” was nothing but murder as there were several missing links that indicated the presence of an outsider at their home at the time of the incident.
