Delhi Traffic Advisory: Delhi Police said some special traffic arrangements to moderate traffic ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha election polls in the city.

Delhi Traffic Advisory: Keeping in view the Delhi Lok Sabha Elections 2024, police issued Delhi Traffic Advisory and imposed restrictions on vehicular movements on Saturday. The Delhi Police on May 24 also issued a traffic advisory and said it has made some special traffic arrangements to moderate traffic ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha election polls in the city.

“In view of Lok Sabha Elections-2024, traffic restrictions will be effective on 24.05.2024 Kindly follow the advisory”, Delhi Traffic Police wrote on X.

On the Delhi Lok Sabha Election day, commuters might face traffic congestion due to the movement of many buses and other vehicles expected in relation to election duties.

Delhi Traffic Advisory: Check Alternate Routes

• Vehicles coming from Sarai Kale Khan/MGM side towards NH-24 will go straight towards Akshardham flyover and will take a left turn to reach towards Pusta Road/ITO/Vikas Marg and then continue to their destinations.
• Cars coming from ITO/Pusta Road side will come up to Akshardham Flyover in front of Akshardham Temple and they will take U-Turn after crossing Akshardham Flyover and will come on NH-24.
• The vehicles coming from ISBT, railway stations, and airports are advised to carefully plan their travel with considerable time in hand.
• The Delhi Police urged the commuters to cooperate by avoiding/bypassing the mentioned roads. Maximum use of public transport was also emphasised.
• The regular commuters were also advised to abide by the traffic rules and road discipline.

Delhi Lok Sabha Election 2024

Polling began at 7 AM for Delhi Lok Sabha Elections 2024. This year, a total of 1.52 crore voters, including 82 lakh male and 69 lakh female voters as well as 1,228 third gender, are eligible to cast their votes at more than 13,000 polling booths in 2,627 places across the seven seats.

During this Delhi Lok Sabha Elections 2024, the AAP and the Congress are contesting the polls as partners in the INDIA bloc, with the former contesting four seats and the latter three.
