New Delhi: To prepare for Republic Day celebrations, Delhi Police has announced special traffic arrangements for smooth conduct of the parade rehearsals on Kartavya Path. The restrictions will apply on January 17, 18, 20, and 21, as per an official advisory. Key intersections along Kartavya Path, including its crossings with Rafi Marg, Janpath, Mansingh Road, and C-Hexagon, will be affected. These restrictions will be in place from 10:15 AM to 12:30 PM on the specified dates to allow the parade rehearsals to proceed without disruption.

The advisory includes alternative paths for motorists navigating between East, South, and West Delhi, as well as routes leading to Connaught Place and New Delhi.

Special traffic arrangements have been made on 17th, 18th, 20th and 21st January in order to facilitate the uninterrupted movement of Parade on Kartavyapath.

Advised alternative routes

• For commuters traveling between North and South Delhi: Use Ring Road, Sarai Kale Khan, I.P. Flyover, Rajghat, Lajpat Rai Marg, Mathura Road, Bhairon Road, Aurobindo Marg, Safdarjung Road, Kamal Ataturk Marg, and Kautilya Marg.
• For those traveling from East Delhi to South West Delhi: Opt for Ring Road and Vande Matram Marg.
• For motorists heading to Vinay Marg, Shanti Path, or New Delhi: Use Sardar Patel Marg, Mother Teresa Crescent, roundabout near RML Hospital, Baba Kharak Singh Marg, or Park Street-Mandir Marg to reach North Delhi or New Delhi.

Travelers are advised to plan their routes in advance during rehearsal hours. The Delhi Traffic Police has appealed to the public for their cooperation in utilizing the suggested alternative routes to avoid disruptions.
