New Delhi, Feb 24: Two firemen were killed and three others suffered serious injuries after an LPG cylinder exploded in Vikaspuri area of New Delhi on Friday.
On Friday early morning, a fireman died at the spot following the cylinder blast. The death toll rose to two on Friday after another firemen succumbed to the injuries while being treated at the hospital.
Reportedly, the accident took place when the firemen were trying to douse the flames that broke out in a store.

While the firemen tried to control the flames, it was then when a cylinder exploded causing the death of one personnel.
The injured have been rushed to the nearby hospital for further medical aid.
Earlier on February 12, a balloon seller died after a cylinder of helium, which he was using to fill his balloons, exploded in Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh.
The explosion left the balloons seller’s wife and daughter injured.
The balloons seller named Lal Singh died on the spot, whereas his wife Rani Devi and daughter Laxmi were rushed to a nearby hospital following the incident.
