New Delhi, Jan 25: A student was dragged out of school bus and kidnapped by two unidentified men in Shreshtha Vihar area on Thursday morning. The bike-borne assailants stopped the bus and shot at driver before taking the student away. The driver is critically injured and taken to a nearby hospital.
The nursery student was studying in Vivekananda school. Around 25 children were on the bus when the kidnappers stopped it at Dilshad Garden. The incident happened around 8 AM near IBHAS hospital. Eyewitnesses said the men were on a black bike and fled towards UP with the child.
The abduction bid came at a time when security has been tightened ahead of Republic Day celebration on January 26. Further details are awaited.
