“She left for college on 2nd Feb & didn’t come back. This morn we got a call from police that her body has been recovered,” the deceased’s sister said. Giving insight about her relation with Navin, her sister said, “She was friends with this boy and they wanted to get married. But the thing was called off as his family didn’t approve.”
The girl’s body was obtained from her home in Model Town area of North-West Delhi. No arrests have been made so far. Delhi Police has launched an investigation in the matter. According to her family members, Arzu did not had personal enmity with anyone. However, prima facie it appears that her boyfriend Navin, with whom she was sharing a strained relation since the past few days, took the extreme step of murdering her.
Further revealing the details of the case, her sister said that Navin’s wedding was scheduled on February 4. Navin and his family feared that she would ruin his wedding and so they plotted her murder, victim’s sister alleged.
