Delhi Weather: Delhi and parts of the National Capital Region (NCR), which were reeling under intense heat for weeks, finally got a long-awaited respite following light rainfall that lashed the region on Saturday. The sun was covered by grey clouds in the morning, and light rainfall lashed parts of the capital city and NCR. A dust storm was also witnessed in some parts of the region.
Delhi Weather
According to the weather department, a dust storm followed by moderate thunderstorms, along with light rainfall/drizzle accompanied by gusty winds of 60 80 kmph, is expected to occur at many places in Delhi and adjoining NCR today.
Notably, the sudden change in weather comes following several days of an unrelenting heatwave. Grey clouds hovering over the capital city and cooling winds are providing an immediate break from the intense heat that has gripped the region.

The advisory asked people to secure outdoor items, avoid open areas, and stay updated to stay safe during the expected weather conditions.
The weather office said many areas across Delhi-NCR, along with parts of Haryana and Rajasthan, are expected to witness dust storms and thundershowers.
